So you are thinking what type of green vegetable you need to pick for these smoothies? Green vegetables like spinach, bathua, methi, sarso leaves are replete with nutrition. Spinach, especially, has been a huge part of our diets growing up and for a reason. palak is enriched with iron, magnesium, potassium and a variety of antioxidants that help fight free radical activity taking a toll on our skin, immunity and overall health. Spinach is also a good source of B Vitamins. Then pick a liquid to use like almond milk, regular milk, water or even coconut water.
Milk will give it more of a smoothie consistency, while water will give it more of a juice consistency, so if you want to add water you can add water for juicy consistency. Also do add some fruits, to balance out the flavor of the leafy green. I recommend using pineapple, banana, mango, pear, kiwi, avocado, green apples, beetroot, carrots or any combination of these, or other yellow and green fruits or vegetables you can add.
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until it comes in a fine smooth paste, no junks of leafy greens or fruits. Some common adjustments as per your test you need do, as adding honey if the fruit wasn’t ripe enough, adding lemon to cut the bitterness of some greens, or adding cinnamon to give it a warm flavor.You can also add some cut fruits top the smoothie or add some pumpkin seeds, chia seeds or walnuts for better presentation and flower.
